Zsofi Lang on why a children's book publisher wanted to create a book in her signature sketchnote style rather than in fine art, and what that means for visual thinkers.
The self-disqualification moment hit close to home especially going into my own sketching project. Zsofi assuming her loose style had no place next to “gorgeous” children’s books, then finding out that looseness was exactly what the publisher wanted, is the same trap I wrestle with (even though I’m both the artist and the client of my self-assigned project).
This struck me too. Sometimes I talk myself out of things but on the opposite end of the scale… “Is my sketchnote style suitable for the corporate world?”
